Something to ponder

To be honest, I was only posting the quote as an excuse for not updating in over a week, not really trying to make any profound statements.

As to your points though, I have a somewhat different view. To me, individualilty is intrinsic to human nature. I'll eventually get around to finishing my philosophies on cloning and free will, and those will lay out my opinions more clearly, but for now let me just say that being "unique" is no more or less than a prerequisite for humanity.

And if being individualistic is synonymous with being facinating, as your reply seems to be implyinig, than in my humble opinion, all humans, working stiffs or not, are facinating.

Unique - someone/thing that is different
Fascinating (in this use) - someone else gives a shit that you are different.

So, you can be unique without anyone giving a shit about it.
