I knew it was only a matter of time.

If you repeatedly play a song for long enough, eventually I'll start to like it. For example, I hated Guster the first time Mike played it for me, but he just kept playing that damn "either waaaaaaa-yyyyyyyyyy" over and over until I became a fan.

Anyway, as I've mentioned before, I am sometimes forced to listen to a country station at work. And....sigh....I started liking some of the songs. I couldn't help it. I don't want to like them, but I have no choice in the matter. Play a song long enough and I'll start to like it.

But I managed to convice myself that liking a few country songs isn't so bad. So I decided to download one of the songs that I liked. The problem was, I didn't know who sang it.

I typed in "Ain't as Good as I Once Was" into Yahoo to try to figure out who sang it.

That's right folks, my song is written and performed by none other than...Toby Keith.

FUCK! FUCK! FUCKFUCKSHITGODDAMNITFUCK! FFUUUUCCCCKKKKK!

You have to understand that I have a special hatred for Toby Keith. His arrogant "America will kick your ass" song, his annoying Ford truck commercials, his whole public feud with the Dixie Chicks, etc. Of all the country singers I hated, Toby Keith was at the top of the list.

I was perfectly happy hating Toby Keith.


And now I downloaded one of his songs. A Toby Keith song is infecting my computer. This is it, game over. Hell is completely frozen and pigs are flying outside my window.

I don't even know what to do with myself. Now I have to redefine my whole self-image as someone who likes a song by Toby Keith.
