As I was waiting at the bus stop, I looked at an ant as it scurried towards my leg. I thought,
This ant has no idea that my leg is part of another being.
And if I remain still, it will remain oblivious.
There is no question that I held that ant's life at my disposal. I could help it along its way or kill it in one step, and it wasn't even aware of my existence. Indeed, it COULDN'T be aware of me. The ant's perception was too limited to comprehend something so large.
Undoubtedly, humans are able to percieve much more than the ants of this world, but our perception is not infinite.
What unseen forces lay beyond the borders of our perception?

Are you afraid an alien is going to step on you? Just kidding. I see what you mean, though. I've never thought of it like that.
