Spending 3-4 hours per day on the bus, I get to see some....interesting......people. Young and old, fat and thin, black and white, smart and stupid, I get to observe people from all walks of life.
For your pleasure and general enlightenment, I present to you a glimpse of some of my most memorable fellow passengers.
- Foreign exchange students who barely speak any English, and yet can still figure out the bus system/routes better than quite a few English speaking students.
- Mentally handicapped people who yell random things every 2 minutes.
- A woman who can't control her electric wheelchair and keeps running into the driver.
- Large man trying to sleep fetal postion on a very small bus seat with a divider in the middle.
- "Goth Chick" complete with blue lipstick, several piercings, jet black hair, nails, clothes, etc.....holding a non-descript baby and followed by her non-descript husband/boyfriend.
- Girl who loudly complains about the bus being late, even though it isn't scheduled to arrive for another five minutes.
- Woman who gets onto the 23 bus and argues with the bus driver that "this should be the 22."
- Man who can't understand why his transfer from two days ago is no longer valid.
- Guy wearing very loose jeans held up by old suspenders (and no underwear) who keeps unintentionally mooning the rest of the bus.
- Girl talking very loudly into a cell phone about how much she hates her mother for "only sending me $200 a month for clothes"
- Middle-aged woman who keeps trying to start a conversation with a bus driver who obviously doesn't feel like talking.
- Obnoxious frat guy who talks too loudly to everyone on the bus, then tries to lead the bus in a rendition of "love train."

I think I might know that girl on the cell phone...
I agree, bus people can be pretty funny. My favorites are the weirdos who try and start long conversations with the drivers. Of course they ride it for 30 mins. Or the people talking on the cell phone about giving someone a VD. You haven't truly rode the bus until you ride it drunk/tipsy.
