The Worst Alarm

Everyone hates alarm clocks. Not just because they make us wake-up before we want, although that is plenty reason enough, but also because of that incessant BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. It is just a damn annoying sound. It's irritating even if you aren't trying to sleep. Just thinking about that sound while I'm typing this is making me angry.

Anyway, I thought I had at least solved part of that problem by switching to a radio wake up. Oldies, Top 40, Rap, Jazz, Classical, etc.....anything has got to be better than that awful screech, right?


Wrong. Completely and utterly wrong.


There I was, happily dreaming along in peaceful slumber, when all of a sudden,
"THAT WAS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PERFORMANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN."
comes barging in to wreck my morning.

That's right folks, today my alarm clock decided to wake me up with Simon Cowell.

The morning raido show decided to air some of Cowell's "highlights" from the previous night's American Idol premire, at the exact same moment my alarm sounded. First of all, highlighting a television show on radio just irks me (24 excluded of course). Second, American Idol itself is annoying. Third, Simon Cowell is just plain irritating. Combine them all together at 7:00 in the morning when I'm already in a bad mood just by being awake, and I am genuinely pissed off.

I'm not sure whether to blame Simon Cowell, the morning radio show, or my alarm clock......so I'm going with all three.

I'm going to bed, fingers crossed for some music. But I know that my alarm clock is reading this and will wake me up tomorrow with the Sundance guy...
