Haruki Murakami

Reading a Murakami book is a strange experience. It's a strange mixture of the quirky details of postmodern life, surreal non-sequitur adventure, and philosophical/existential crisis. While his style is definitely his own, it reminds me of Kurt Vonnegut.

In other words, his books are fucked-up and confusing...but in a good way.

Fucked up books are usually the best books.
