This movie should have been better than it actually is. The action sequences are great, but I didn't really like the main character, and the plot was simultaneously predictable and terrible.
Angelina Jolie's character was the only one that I liked. Morgan Freeman, (who I usually like) was mediocre and not a very good fit for the head of what is basically an assasination squad. The rest of the crew are OK, but their characters seem like last minute add-ons and don't really add anything to the movie.
I don't know, get rid of the first 30 minutes and make a few plot changes, and this movie would have been great. I'm just frustrated that a cool idea and such good action sequences are ruined by terrible casting choices and a stupid plot.
The action sequences are good enough to merit watching it on the big screen, but I would wait until it shows up at a dollar theater.
Thumbs-middle.

I know it's probably only similar in the slightest of ways, but when I saw the preview and read the synopsis of this movie, all I could think of was 'Kill Bill'.
Fraternity of assassins? Carrying out hits ordered? Powers like "lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility"? And the final sentence from the synopsis: "And, as he wavers between new found heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him; that he alone controls his destiny."
I don't know, just my initial thoughts.
Worth a rent at least?
I suppose there is a very small similarity, but it's really nothing at all like Kill Bill. Wanted is not nearly as good as Kill Bill. Not even close.
I don't know, I like the genre so I think that the action sequences would be worth a rent.
But know going into the movie that they are pretty much the only bright spot.
I'll watch it on tv then, haha
