Defend Free Speech!

It takes nothing more than a cursory search engine check to find items that have been banned or pulled from sale. It is certainly not a new trend, and with private organizations and sites compiling ever deepening lists, we can only keep our eyes open and ears to the ground lest we be led blindly into the future, dead words and dead ideas haunting us like the echoes of men and women murdered for their beliefs. For all that we prize freedom, and speak lofty monologues about the sanctity of Free Speech and the importance of Expression, we have in the past, and continue to allow thoughts and words to be crushed.

This is the true death of a civilization; not famine or war, but silence.

I guess you could add "censorship" to the list of a billion things I hate...

So how did you feel about China hosting the Olympics?

No no, you have to save it for a new post! Ten at a time.

As your editor I think you need to run your posts' drafts by me before you publish them. That way I can make sure you don't post things you hate one at a time, and also take out anything I deem offensible.

Adam...too weird...we are always on at the same time.

I am 100% fine with China holding the Olympics. That DOES NOT mean that I support their actions, or their policies, or their philosophy. To enjoy the Olympics in China is not tacit support for their government. I have major concerns about China, and China has major concerns about the United States.

The Olympics are about suspending those differences for two weeks to celebrate sport and enjoy competition at its highest level.

Olympic boycotts for political reasons are definitely on my list of a billion things I hate.

Another on my list is people who tell me what I should blog, or what format it should be in.

Man, I hate those people...

You're not listening!

Ten at a time!!!

And what's wrong with those people? They're just looking out for your best interests.

Specifically because you want 10 at a time, I refuse to do so.

Just to piss you off.
