LHC

The LHC, the Large Hadron Collider, will go online on the 10th. For anyone with even a passing interest in particle physics, this is a huge event. I'm very excited. The main goal, or at least the first goal, will be to find the Higgs-boson. The Higgs-boson, if confirmed, would be proof positive that the Standard Model of quantum mechanics is correct. Good times.

The LHC is awesome. But don't take my word for it.....THE LHC RAP!

Haha nerd alert! Just kidding, just kidding.

You know, you have very wide ranging interests. Have you ever thought about that? And perhaps wide ranging is putting it mildly. Now I understand why you had such a hard time choosing a major in college!

I will readily admit to being a nerd...but I'm not defined by the term.

Yes, I guess I do have a wide range of interests. And I also like to jump around between those interests. Sometimes those subject changes can be very abrubt, in my head and on the blog.

Hence the Random Incongruence.

But I'm still holding out hope that I can assemble all of these bits and pieces into a coherent picture...

Incidentally, all of science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc..., and all of culture: Art, Music, Language, Sport, etc... are really only a branches of philosophy. So one could make the argument that my only area of interest is philosophy, and I'm just exploring that one area in detail...

One would make that arguement, or you would make that arguement? =)

And I just mispelled 'argument' twice.

And now 'misspelled'. Jesus. I quit.

Haha, I orginally wrote it as "I could argue..." then changed it to "one could argue..."

I'm not really making that argument, because if philosophy encompasses everything, then the term becomes synonymous with the universe and is rendered meaningless.

I was just throwing it out there....

Hahaha, that's funny that you originally wrote that.

I getcha =).
