Alternate Title: Guillermo Barros Schelotto Cup 2008
I HATE the NY Red Bulls, and I generally like Columbus, so I was very happy to watch the Crew beat the Bulls 3-1 today. Mostly the game was just good, not great. But watching Schelotto play, and especially the Crew's 3rd goal, made the match special.
5 hours later (I had to watch it on tape) and I'm still smiling. Schelotto is just pure magic. First, the technical skill to be able to pull off that perfect chip pass with such little space is damn impressive. Second, the vision to even see Hejduk's run was incredible. But what makes it special is the creativity and the audacity to attempt such a play. And I give Hejduk (who I was never a huge fan of) a lot of credit for staying onside and finishing with an excellent header.
A very memorable championship match. Columbus Crew: 2008 MLS Champs!

Memorable? I'll be surprised if you remember who played in this MLS Cup in three years, much less the details of the match. I will ask you in 3 years. Be prepared. Oh, and can you remind me to ask you? You know, at like 2 years and 364 days, somewhere around there.
Do you think Columbus celebrated their big championship by playing a game of "asses up" together, or something else besides a homosexual team orgy?
I will remember that the Crew won and the Schelotto to Hejduk goal, but I will probably forget about who they played and what the final score was.
Although I can't remember for sure who won the super bowl, world series, stanley cup, or NBA title three years ago, so you may be right...
And you don't celebrate a championship by playing asses up. But yeah, since all soccer players are gay, it was probably a huge team orgy. (But that's still not as gay as your Orioles video...)
Ohhhhhh they played assess up to celebrate. Any chance to get at another man's ass...
