X-Men Origins: Wolverine

The easiest way to rate this movie is to say, if you liked all three of the x-men trilogy, you will probably like this, and if you didn't, you probably won't.

It's a pretty standard comic movie, plenty of action sequences and mutant mayhem. The FX were just OK. They did the job, but there were a few scenes where it was very obvious that the claws were CG. But Hugh Jackman is still an excellent Wolverine, and I liked Sabertooth more in this version than in the trilogy. Ryan Reynolds is the perfect cast for Deadpool, but he had barely any screen time. I want to see a Deadpool movie!

Gambit, Blob, and several others make an appearance, but they don't really add anything to the movie. I would rather that they got rid of those characters and focus more on Deadpool, but maybe that's just me.

Overall, it's formulaic and cheesy, but if you didn't already expect that, this is probably not the movie for you. 3 out of 5.

Soooo what if you haven't seen any of the first three, would I probably like it or dislike it?

Your review reminded me of Fantastic Four, which I enjoyed. I'd probably like it.

I would guess that you would give it a thumbs middle as well.

It's not as good as the Dark Knight/Spiderman 1/Ironman's, but it's better than the Hulk/Elecktra/Daredevil's of the world.
