I was out at the soccer fields today, just doing some light drills. Normally that's nothing to write a blog post about, except that today I hit the perfect shot.
It was beautiful. A set-piece from the left side, about 20-25 yards out, good bend from right to left, good power, nailed the upper 90.
That shot made my day. Those rare moments of perfection have a tendency to stick in the memory. I have only shot a soccer ball like that 3 other times in my life, and I still remember all three others. Good times.

Obviously I don't strike from distance very often....
Now you need to join a league and do it in a game situation!!!
Come on, you know you miss playing just a little bit...
I've done it twice in game situations. I'm sure I've told you about them. (and I'm sure you were enthralled...)
And yeah, I do miss playing.
I remember the stories of your misses more than I do the ones of your makes. Don't you miss a lot =)???
