we return
to that same-old place again
with those same-old people again
doing the same-old same-old
again
and we all understand
that the ones whining most
about the
devil they know
are the ones most
afraid
of the
devil they don't
but very few of us understand
that we're fucked
either way
and even fewer of us
ever find
God
