Love the olympics, hate the coverage.
It's to the point now where I have no idea what is live or what is taped. I get on ESPN.com and see a winner, thinking perhaps that event took place in the afternoon, and then watch the event, taped, in the evening, knowing all the results.
The men's ice skating last night...I am still unsure if that was live or not (I think it was).
I agree that the taped coverage is bad, but you had to love the Wednesday night coverage. Lindsay Vonn's gold, Shaun White DOMINATING, Shanni Davis... very exciting to watch.
The important thing to remember is the Olympics aren't scheduled around what should be on primetime in the EST.
Didn't Shaun White look like a fucking badass with his stars and stripes bandana over his face like an old west outlaw? I loved that. He's a very likable guy that Shaun White. (man crush)
I think Shuan White is my favorite athlete of the Olympics so far.
Agreed. He is just head and shoulders above everyone else. All of the other snowboarders performed pretty similar tricks, and then Shaun gets out there and gets much more air. There's no doubt that most of the snowboarders are huge potheads, but is Shaun as well?
He seems to be a little different than the rest, with all his corporate sponsorships and all.
But yea, he probably is.
